Assignment Update Week 3

Intentions

To achieve our goals:
1. Research BCA - We accessed the BCA or National Construction Code and researched on some selective areas; Plumbing, Timber Framing, Stairs, Windows and any other parts that come up.

2. Use knowledge to model missing construction parts from the existing revit model. - Modelling the missing construction parts in the building like plumbing fixtures inside the walls, timber framing for brick or timber veneer walls, beams, joists, steel reinforcing for the concrete slabs. Before we export, parts of the model will be grouped with intentions of making them interactive in Crysis, like Doors, excess construction materials.

3. Export model to Crysis CryEngine 3. - Exporting the model to the appropriate file type to export it to Crysis CryEngine 3. Either 3Ds Max or SketchUp. This is a trial and error stage to make sure the model gets into Crysis ok.

4. Model a suitable environment for the Building. - Model a suitable environment, whether it is in a residential area or more an outback country area.

5. Use Crysis flow graphs to make the new building Interactive. - Make the flow graph so that the character can open doors in the building, use parts of the building, pick up and install materials lying around the building site.

6. Demonstrate the interactivity and the construction detailing using the character in the game. - Demonstrate the results of the flow graphs we have made, this is done using Fraps to video record the character in action. This is another trial and error stage, until we are happy with the result.
